CSAS Holds Webinar on Deciphering Pahalgam False Flag Operation

The Centre for South Asian Studies (CSAS), University of the Punjab, hosted a thought-provoking webinar titled “Deciphering Pahalgam False Flag Operation: Agenda and Consequences” on May 5, 2025. Dr. Asma Shakir Khawaja, Executive Director, Centre for International Strategic Studies (CISS) AJK, and Syeda Tahreem Bukhari, Associate Director, CISS AJK, joined as distinguished speakers and provided expert insights into the regional implications of the alleged operation.
The session critically examined the historical pattern of false flag operations conducted by India, the recurring trend of blaming Pakistan without substantiated evidence, and the subsequent adoption of aggressive Indian policies—further escalating tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbors.
The webinar concluded with comprehensive remarks by Prof. Dr. Naheed S. Goraya, Director CSAS who emphasized the need for academic inquiry and dialogue to counter misinformation and promote regional peace. The Webinar was followed by Q & A.
